Importaco, in collaboration with Acteco, has joined the project “Un viaje a la dignidad” (A trip towards dignity) carried by Novaterra Foundation. This valencian organization has been coming along with more than 5,000 people for almost three decades, promoting social inclusion through employment, achieving a 50% annual insertion rate. In 2020, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, over 200 people have found a job after joining Novaterra.
The goal of this project is to help people find and keep employment to live with dignity again. To this effect, the Foundation sets a personalized insertion itinerary, based on the analysis of each person’s situation, including objectives, stages and evolution monitoring.
This donation has been made possible thanks to Acteco and its stoppers collection service. During this environmental project, Importaco employees have gathered over 3 ton stoppers, which have been appreciated through social projects.
Importaco has a social action plan that responds to the health and development needs of the communities where Importaco centers are located. In this sense, Importaco has cooperated in the update of the kitchen in the public school Blasco Ibañez in Beniparrell (Valencia) in order to improve the quality and service of the canteen for its students.
