Through Importaco Terra, our own almond farming project in Spain and Portugal, we apply regenerative farming practices aimed at protecting and regenerating the soil.

These include maintaining plant cover, making use of organic matter, integrated pest management, optimising nutrient use and continuously monitoring agronomic indicators that enable us to improve soil health campaign after campaign.

These practices help increase biodiversity, improve soil structure and support a more efficient use of natural resources.

Soil protection is closely linked to biodiversity conservation.

That is why we complement agronomic management with actions that support the balance of agricultural ecosystems, such as installing shelters for beneficial fauna, nest boxes and conserving spontaneous vegetation, creating more resilient and healthier environments for crops.

Our commitment to sustainability is also reflected in the implementation of international standards that endorse the responsible management of our farms.

Importaco Terra’s farms have achieved Silver level in the Farm Sustainability Assessment (FSA), becoming the first Spanish almond farms to receive this recognition. They also hold certifications such as Global G.A.P., GRASP, SPRING and BioDiversity, which support our good environmental and social practices.
